My Prayer Time Q & A Journal:
My Prayer Questions & God’s Answers/Counsel
Note: I am still building this out and adding detail.
• God asks me, “Would the sun stand still for you?”
God’s question brought thoughts of the exploits of Old Testament saints like Elijah. I replied, “I don’t really consider myself to be in their ranks.” God responded, “Then you are limiting me.” Boom! With His response the scripture came to mind, “Those who know their God are strong and do exploits.” It had never been not about me. Everything I could do flows from knowing Him.
• My God conversation that turned my feelings from tyrants into servants.
People can at times push my button and cause me to respond with unChristlike thoughts, feelings or behaviors. Even hiding my unpeaceful feelings inside behind fake a smile is still unChristlike and deceptive. Maturity is understanding that I can't hold others responsible for my emotions or actions. While others may have pushed my button, I provided the button for them to push in the first place. Any button I have to push comes from what remains of my unrenewed mind (conformed to this world lie-based thinking).
• The conversation that ended my paranoia. The nicer the day the more nervous I got.
Unpeaceful feelings have no wisdom beyond being a messenger to something that needs to be addressed. To act out out what bad feelings would push me to do is unwise! Unpeaceful feelings are our God-given warning system that we are in need of divine servicing. God has truth to fix the underlying cause (belief) of to our less than perfect peace (2 Tim. 1:7).
• Unforced rhythm of grace
• The conversation that ended my being uptight.
• The conversation that ended my an undercurrent of anxiety that I had lived to keep pushed down.
• I was helping a suicidal person when God said, “Listen to what they repeat as that reveals the lie that is tormenting them.”
• God, “But, it’s fun!”
•God, “What does you being happy say about my care for you?”
• God, “Pretty proud of yourself aren’t you?”
• God, “Don’t Leave.”
• God, “I made that!”
• God, “I said both hands.”
• God, “What if I told you it could be ignored?”
• God, You can’t figure out crazy.”
• God, “You will leave on your terms.”
• God, “YES!!! :) ”
• God, “You don’t need a doctor, you need a miracle.”
Didn’t our hearts burn within us as he
talked with us on the road and explained the
Scriptures to us?
(Luke 24:32).
